Well it’s Friday and how many of you are out competing this weekend? Please try one change to your routine, think about your breathing even before you get on your horse. Horses feel your tension even as you stand with them. Try breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. On inhale let your stomach muscles relax and let the air fill your ribs laterally, filling as much air as you can, then exhale letting out as much air as you can. Make this a smooth slow action. Heart rate will reduce and tension will leave your body. Keep repeating this as you get on your horse.
